Use of magnesium chloride

Contrary to general opinion, magnesium is not sold as pure magnesium, but mostly in combination with other substances. Magnesium chloride hexahydrate, for example, consists of a combination of magnesium, chlorine and water.

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate in powder form can be used for the preparation of a magnesium chloride solution - the so-called magnesium oil - and for the preparation of a full bath or a foot bath with magnesium.

Dr. Lohmann Diaclean Magnesium chloride can also be used for the production of laboratory nutrient media and in aquaristics to ensure magnesium supply in aquariums.

Information on magnesium chloride hexahydrate

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate is hygroscopic, i.e. it attracts water and tends to form lumps. However, this has no influence on its quality.

To counteract lump formation, we ship our magnesium chloride in a sealed bag, in an airtight plastic bucket.

Delivery of magnesium chloride hexahydrate

The magnesium chloride hexahydrate powder is delivered in a sealed bag, which is placed in a practical, resealable plastic bucket. The product is therefore stored in a sufficiently dark and dry place to maintain the high quality of the product. The plastic bucket is recyclable and reusable, so that it protects the environment with its good ecological balance.
